Connected Parents, Connected Kids Training Part 2

Description

Many Healthy Start families are dealing with histories of trauma -- including Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Domestic Violence (DV). To address these complex issues, staff will learn about an evidence-based intervention, CUES (Confidentiality, Universal Education, Empowerment, and Support), along with the Erikson Institute's FAN (Facilitated Attuned Interactions). This training will help home visitors open conversations that normalize the impact of ACES and DV on health, relationships, and parenting. These approaches include frames that address equity, implicit bias, and histories of problematic practices while supporting family strengths and resiliency. The FAN gives providers techniques to feel more present within themselves and attuned to the needs of their clients.

The presenter for this training is Former Senior Policy Analyst for FUTURES Without Violence, Rebecca Levenson.
